W Bangkok hosts “W Songkran Pool Party with Alex Face” on 13 April 2014 from 2pm to 7pm

In collaboration with KOLOUR KREW, W Bangkok is all set for the hottest pool party of the year, “W Songkran Pool Party with Alex Face”, this Songkran 2014. If you missed the WET Party last year, you would not want to make the same mistake again. Guaranteed the hottest pool party in town on Sunday, 13th April 2014, W Bangkok expands the barrel of fun by inviting the latest Burn Studios DJ Lab’s winner 2013, DJ Sezer Uysal, to transform WET Deck into the most exciting party which will amaze Bangkok once again. Not enough? Four more DJs from KOLOUR KREW will be there to pump up the beat and ensure fast dances are such an easy work! DJs line-up includes DJ Koish, DJ Sir Walt, DJ Coran and DJ Sarah De La Rossa.

Also get the chance to meet the utmost self-expressive arts and live painting performance from the famous Alex Face, the influential graffiti artist who owns a unique graffiti wall behind WET Deck, while partying. The awesomeness runs from 2 pm until 7 pm. Entrance fee is at THB 700 net/person with complimentary 2 drinks.

For DJ Sezer Uysal, finding the right touch is more instinctual than voluntary. With half a dozen remixes and original productions reaching Beatport’s coveted Top 100 Progressive House, Tech House, and Deep House charts, his ability in the studio has garnered attention from some of the most renowned titans of the industry. In 2012 Sezer became an official remixer under the Ministry of Sound hallmark, and has gained support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Laidback Luke, John Digweed, Pete Tong, and Hernan Cattaneo. Pretty impressive for someone with no formal musical education.

The famous Alex Face a.k.a. Patcharapol Tangruen, is a Thai street artist, whose most well-known character ‘Mardi’ – a quizzical smoking baby who looks wise beyond his years – was inspired by his two-year-old child. His interest in architecture led Alex Face to explore and wander the streets and alleys of Bangkok for abandoned buildings where he eventually started developing his street art. For Alex Face, street art is as much about interacting with life and people as it is about the creation and execution of the art itself. He was invited to do the amazing graffiti art at WET Deck’s wall, called “Ploy Nok Ploy Pla” which means to release birds and fishes free for merit. We just cannot wait to see how he will surprise us this Songkran party!
