On 20^th October, G Hotel Kelawai was announced as the winner by The Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards 2016 for Best Design Hotel in Continent level and Best Lifestyle Hotel in Country level during a dazzling Awards Gala Ceremony hosted at the magnificent Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi.

The Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards acknowledge the most exceptional in hospitality experience across 7 continents, 172 countries and 94 categories, celebrate the values of leadership, hard work, dedication, ambition and success. G Hotel Kelawai is proud to be in the global spotlight when it was picked as one of the winners.

Winners are selected through a rigorous rating process based on one-of-a-kind concept for unbiased results through quality feedback from guests, rather than quantity of votes by a panel of judges or general public. The rating process takes various factors into account; room, food, service, overall hotel facilities, bar and beverages, price, Internet, location, ambiance, grounds, wellness area, efficiency, social responsibility and environmental participation.

Come to the end of October on 29^th, G Hotel Kelawai wrapped up the month with gladness by receiving the Luxury New Hotel in Malaysia award from 2016 World Luxury Hotel Awards. The World Luxury Hotel Awards celebrated its 10^th anniversary during the Gala Dinner held in St. Regis Doha in Qatar, the evening saw over 350 guests from the world’s leading hotels and resorts gathered to be recognised on the stage for their outstanding efforts.

The Awards were presented to luxury hotels and resorts in over 60 categories from over 50 countries participants on a country, regional, continent and global basis. Special congratulations on the evening went to the immaculate G Hotel Kelawai, who was honoured as the Luxury New Hotel in Malaysia. The hotel just opened for a year, tagged as “Style Redefined”, where iconic design and cutting edge lifestyle set the stage for exclusive and extraordinary experiences. The hotel houses 208 rooms that are uniquely inspired by innovative design to create energizing space for guests to work or play by day or mix and mingle by night.

Stepping into the hotel, the entire ground floor comes with a very high ceiling with golden strips decoration, preluding the noble ambiance it brings. The designer lobby welcomes the guests with its designer furnishing by Italian made Baxter Chester Moon Sofa and Baxter Molly Armchair.

Located right next to the lobby is 2PM lobby lounge, which incorporated contemporary interior design and wooden furniture to encapsulate the sophistication ambiance. Docked from the ground floor to level 2, the staircase is designed using the locally made Peranakan motif cement tiles, leading the way to Spoon; a coffee house that is reminiscent of a French Bistro with mountain top scene, a well-equipped business centre and the avant garde function rooms.

Moving up to level 23 is where the 24-hour gym is located with state-of-the-art gym facilities and delicately designed at a high floor overlooking the cityscape of Penang. Head up to level 24 is the astonishing landscape layout of the rooftop, where the picturesque infinity-edge swimming pool is located. The pool is salt water treated, surrounded by beautiful shrubs to appeal its luxuriousness. The alfresco sitting poolside Gravity Bar is furnished with outdoor designer chairs, sofas and tables, placing near the transparent glass fences that behold the panoramic views of Penang. Whereas, the Executive Lounge adjoining to the pool and the bar, is a covered exclusive lounge incorporated with fancy furniture, lightings and well carpeted floor.

Moving on to November, apart from the recognitions received for its excellent hospitality and the luxury lifestyle it brings, G Hotel Kelawai also earned a reputation as Best Hotel from FIABCI Malaysian Chapter, a real estate federation at The Malaysia Property Awards^TM 2016 which was spearheaded by Architect T.Y Au.
