Melbourne, Australia tops the annual Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Liveability Index for the fifth consecutive year as the world’s most liveable city. Even as the liveability scores of other cities worldwide fluctuate, Melbourne presents a picture of stability and maintains an impressive score of 97.5%.
Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has introduced a Free Tram Zone that covers most of the Melbourne CBD and some of the surrounding areas, including Queen Victoria Market and Docklands. Tourists and visitors are able to travel around the city and to key attractions on Melbourne’s iconic trams for free.
