Melaka welcomes the arrival of Pacific Coffee Company (Pacific Coffee), a premium coffeehouse from Hong Kong. Officially launched on 4 March 2014, the brand’s stunning new flagship outlet is now open exclusively at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall.
The launch was graced by Pacific Coffee’s Hong Kong Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Jonathan Somerville; Hatten Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edwin Tan and a number of Melaka’s top ranked elites.
Mike Yung – a globally acclaimed coffee connoisseur and currently Head Judge for the World Barista Championships – gave an exclusive demonstration during the launch by featuring Pacific Coffee’s Crema Scura, a special blend made from 100% high-grade certified organic fair trade coffee sourced from Costa Rica, Colombia and New Guinea.
Idyllically located along the tree-lined boulevard of Jalan Merdeka, Melaka’s main business and entertainment avenue, the cosy new Pacific Coffee duplex cafe offers a chic urban ambience, a perfect compliment to the delicious, premium grade coffee that the brand is famous for. The cafe is furbished with intimate tables, comfortable sofa seating, children’s corner and a feature stairway that leads to the expansive glass-walled second level.
Pacific Coffee Company is under Hatten Group Sdn. Bhd.’s new retail division, SkyWin Brand Management Sdn. Bhd., which controls the franchise for Pacific Coffee in Melaka. SkyWin Brand Management plans to establish Pacific Coffee as one of Melaka’s Top Favourite Coffee Houses with the opening of five more coffee outlets in and around the Melaka city centre within the next three years.
According to Hatten Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edwin Tan, “At Hatten, besides developing Melaka’s retail and lifestyle landscape, we strongly believe in contributing to the community by enhancing the local way of life. By bringing Pacific Coffee to Melaka, Hatten hopes to spread message in support of the consumption of organic, free trade coffee beans.”
In conjunction with the cafe’s opening, any cup of Pacific Coffee purchased in Dataran Pahlawan from 4 until 6 March 2014 receives a free second cup of coffee.
