KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – June 25, 2012 – DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur is honoured to be named the Official Hotel of the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur 2012 ATP World Tour Tournament for the first time. The hotel today revealed its Ultimate Tennis Room Package experience priced at MYR390++ per night for a standard Guestroom and MYR550++ per night stay at an Executive Room.  The hotel during the tournament season will also be bringing back their Baked with CARE charity drive in aid of Dignity for Children Foundation. Funds will be raised through the selling of DoubleTree by Hilton Chocolate Chip Cookies in tins autographed by some of the ATP World Tour professional tennis players.  The tins are priced at RM50 nett each and will be available at the hotel’s The Food Store and the tournament venue.

“Our team is thrilled to be given the opportunity to play host for the first time to some of the world’s best male tennis players including world #5 David Ferrer and Asia’s #1 Kei Nishikori of Japan (ATP #18). We are here to provide the warmest, personalised service possible, so that all players are geared up for their best game,” said Ian Barrow, general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

“We are also delighted to be teaming up with Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur 2012 for our well-received Baked with CARE charity drive in hope to continue extend our culture of CARE beyond our team and guests into the community in which we operate,” he added.

The Ultimate Tennis Room Package experience is available from September 28 to 30, with a minimum booking of two nights’ stay. The room package is inclusive of breakfast for two, a pair of tickets to the semi-finals and finals and return transfers from the hotel to the tournament venue. The first 10 bookers will also have a chance to attend “Meet the Players” session at the event and receive an autographed souvenir programme from one of the marquee players.

The 4th edition of the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur 2012 is an ATP World Tour 250 Series tournament with almost USD 1 million in prize money and will be held from September 22 to 30 at the Indoor Putra Stadium Bukit Jalil. The world No. 5, Spaniard David Ferrer and Asia’s incredibly popular leading player and World No. 18, Kei Nishikori of Japan have confirmed their participation in the event with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.
