Subang Jaya, 8 January 2013 – To spread the festive cheers, Grand Dorsett Subang in collaboration with Kiwanis Club Bukit Kiara feted 30 children from Pusat Jagaan Siddarthan to a fun filled afternoon as they were delighted to a scrumptious hi-tea which includes an assortment of local fare and delicacies, do-it-yourself cupcake decoration and special clown appearance.
The event was held at the hotel’s private function hall.
Kick-starting the afternoon, the children turned into Junior Pastry Chefs for the day as they were fitted with custom made chef’s apron and hat whilst the hotel’s Pasty Chef, Nazirah Bugal demonstrated the process of decorating a cupcake.
The children had a fabulous time and enjoyed the whole new experience as they explored their skills in decorating their own cupcake.
The joy of the event continued as the children were amused with special appearance by Cha Cha The clown.
“We are indeed happy to have spread the festive cheers in such meaningful ways this year”, said Mr Vincent Pillai, Director of Operations of Grand Dorsett Subang during his opening speech.
The highlight of the afternoon was when the hotel’s Director of Operation, Mr Vincent Pillai and President of Kiwanis Club Bukit Kiara, Mr Jack Piong accompanied by the Management team of Grand Dorsett Subang and members of Kiwanis Club Bukit Kiara handed out school bags and stationeries to all the children in view of the beginning of the new school term
. A symbolic cheque amounting RM500.00 was also presented to representatives from Pusat Jagaan Siddarthan, fund contributed by the employees of Grand Dorsett Subang and members of Kiwanis Club Bukit Kiara.
