i-City (Shah Alam), 28 September 2013 – i-City today officially unveiled its latest theme park attraction –  the nerve-wrecking House of Horror@i-City which is poised to tantalise the taste buds of visitors game for some ghostly adventures.

Permanent residents loitering in every nook and corner of the 15,000 sq ft attraction include ghosts and ghouls, mummies, vampires, zombies, monsters, and even pontianak and pochong (a dead body covered in white fabric tied over the head, under the feet, and on the neck).

The official opening of the House of Horror @i-City was graced by Datuk Seri Noh Omar, who is the Selangor Development Action Council Chief.

“In line with i-City’s positioning as a family destination, the House of Horror is conceptualised as a wholesome fun venue targeting teenagers, young working adults and urban families who wish to seek a moment of spooky thrills,” Ms Tang Soke Cheng, Information Manager of I-Berhad, points out.

She adds: “Expect a prominent display of 3D night art where ghostly features come to live amid the serenade of negative music that sets your spines shivering with excitement and shrills.”

Moving forward, i-City will constantly improvise the spooky elements at the House of Horror by adding more ghostly features from time to time.

“On special occasions, they will also be live actors to inject the extra fright to ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable visit,” she stresses.

The House of Horror joins the Red Carpet, Malaysia’s 1st interactive wax museum (which rolled-out the red carpet on August 15 this year), as i-City’s two latest attractions. Both are also part of the Visit Malaysia 2014 showcase.

To date, i-city has invested about RM100 million for the various rides and attractions within the 25-acre span of its tourism component.

“Plans are afoot for i-City to invest further on new attractions to complement our RM580 million CentralPlaza regional retail mall comes on stream in 2016,” concludes Ms Tang Soke Cheng.

House of Horror ticket prices for MyKad holders are tagged at RM25 (Adult) / RM20 (Child) while non-MyKad holders pay RM30 (Adult) / RM25 (Child). In conjunction with it’s official opening, visitors can look forward to experience the newest attraction at i-City at a special price of RM15 per ticket for the 1st 100 walk-in visitors daily from now till Oct 15, 2013.

Additionally, Opening Specials are also made available through i-City’s innovative i-Ticket system in conjunction with the forthcoming Halloween celebration. Enjoy a special rate of only RM30 for 2 House of Horror tickets from Sept 28 to Oct 30 this year while avoiding the hassle of queuing up at the ticket counter.

Also as part of the above Halloween celebrations, visitors dressed in their favourite cosplay character get to enjoy a FREE entry to the House of Horror.
