To achieve greater impact, the World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM) – organised by Malaysia Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) to tap on the travel needs of 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide – and Malaysia International Tourism Exchange (MITE), organised by My Events International to promote Malaysian travel and tourism products internationally, are set to join forces this year.
The combination of both travel trade expo is now known as WITM-MITE 2013, which will be held from the 6th until the 9th of June 2013 at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Supported by the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and the Islamic Tourism Centre, WITM-MITE 2013 targets to become one of the major travel trade expo in the Asian region and intends to be on par with the likes of the World Travel Mart in London, International Tourism Bourse in Berlin and the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in ASEAN countries on rotation basis (Malaysia will be hosting the ATF 2014 in Kuching).
300 exhibitions booths will be set up during the event to showcase tourism related products and services. Over 20,000 visitors are expected to attend the four-day expo.
Dubbed as the largest tourism exchange in Malaysia, WITM-MITE 2013 will not just provide an ideal avenue for networking and business connectivity to the expo participants but also an opportunity for the general public to be exposed to global product offerings all under one roof.
