KUALA LUMPUR, 10 OCTOBER 2024 – Batik Air is excited to announce the launch of three new routes to Sabah and Sarawak, further expanding its network and offering travellers even more direct access to the heart of East Malaysia.
The new connections from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Bintulu, Miri, and Sandakan will enhance convenience for both leisure and business travellers, with the Kuala Lumpur–Bintulu route commencing on 1st November 2024, the Kuala Lumpur–Sandakan route on 1st December 2024, and the Kuala Lumpur–Miri route on 14th January 2025.
This exciting expansion also highlights Batik Air’s commitment to enhancing travel options across Sabah and Sarawak, supporting the region’s thriving tourism industry and growing economic opportunities.

The Kuala Lumpur–Bintulu route will operate ten times weekly, while both the Kuala Lumpur–Miri and Kuala Lumpur–Sandakan routes will run 14 times weekly, offering convenient and flexible travel options.
