With the fasting month just around the corner, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur is serving up a wholesome buffet this Ramadan at Melting Pot Cafe.

The hearty Buka Puasa buffet spread features an exciting myriad of flavours: traditional kampung classic dishes and Thai specialities. The nightly buffet is available between 23 March and 21 April 2023.

Ramadan buffet gives you and your loved ones a time of joy, gratitude, and celebration to be together. From traditional kampung style dishes and Thai specialities to international favourites, this is the chance for you to spend your time with your favourite people and your favourite dishes.

Amongst the not-to-be-missed traditional kampung dishes by Malay Chef Mohamad Yusoff are Sup Gearbox, Sup Tulang Rusuk, Sup Ekor, Laksa Johor, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Percik Kelantan, Kambing Masak Hitam Manis, Daging Rendang Tok, Daging Rendang Minang, Masak Lemak Udang Harimau bersama Rebung, Ikan Tenggiri Berlado, Kari Kepala Ikan Merah Bendi, Gulai Tunjang Minangkabau and Nasi Briyani with roasted whole lamb, among others.

This year, we have added Thai specialities curated by Thai Chef Nopporn Nutto. Born and raised in Bangkok, Chef Nopp creates a Thai buffet section offering delectable soups and salads such as Tom Yum Gai Nam Koon (Red Tom Yam Chicken Soup), Tom Yum Gai Nam Sai (Clear Tom Yam Chicken Soup), Nuea Yang Nam Tok (Grilled Thai Beef Salad), Yum Woon Sen (Thai Glass Noodle Salad with Seafood), Larb Gai (Spicy Minced Chicken Salad), and Yum Ma Muang (Thai Mango Salad with Peanuts).

For mains, Chef Nopp whips up Kway Teow Nam (Thai Noodle Soup), Gaeng Massaman Neua (Massaman Beef with Potatoes), Pla Muek Tod Kra Tiam (Deep-fried Squid with Garlic and Pepper), Pad Krapow Kung (Sauteed Shrimp with Basil), Pla Kapong Neung Manao (Thai Style Steamed Red Snapper with Lime & Garlic), Panang Gai (Chicken Panang with Lime Leaves and Peanuts), Gaeng Som (Vegetable Hot and Sour Curry) and variety of Bangkok traditional sweets.

Apart from kampung and Thai fares, diners can also tuck into the all-time Melting Pot signature items like Bubur Lambuk, Aneka Ikan Bakar, Satay, Otak-Otak, Murtabak Ayam, Vietnamese Beef Noodles and of course, the crowd’s favourite: Teppanyaki.
