MITA ( Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association ) for the very first time will be organizing its first Tourism Fair Carnival this 29th till 31st January 2016 at KL Convention Center. MITA is highly dedicated in inbound market as they have been passionately promoting Malaysia and the Travel Fair all around the world.

Based on the Go Domestic Campaign, MITA Tourism Fair targets the potential products that is based on Domestic Tourism in Malaysia for promotional efforts. Besides just popular places in Malaysia, there are still many other products that have potential that’s not covered, MITA 2016 has been paying attention to this and give them a platform for the industry players to take this opportunity to showcase their products.


“Travelling is in all of us and its important to keep our currency rolling in the country itself to sustain the countries currency strength. And it is also our duty to further promote our own domestic products to each other as it is unique by its own way” said YB Dato’ Mirza Mohammad, Director General of Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia during the Press Conference.

The co-operation and awareness given by Pihak Media Arus Perdana and alternative media’s are one of the main contributing factors that have been important to them and is highly appreciated. There were a few collaborations that has been made with the local entrepreneurs to further help and give a new and fresh feel to further improve the efforts of MITA 2016. Some of them are, Firelyz (Airline Partner), Super ( F&B ), MBI ( Sports Tourism ), AL-Hilmi Agrofarm (AgroTourism), National Heart Institution ( Medical Tourism ), MaTIC fm ( Internet Radio ) and many more.

For MITA 2016, the state of Kedah has been selected as the ‘Preferred Destination MITA Tourism Fair” since is Discover Kedah 2016 year. MITA would like to invite visitors to explore and experience Kedah by the special promotion available only at MITA 2016.

Besides that, the aspect of nationalism is not taken lightly, one collaboration with HUGS ( Helping Unfortunate Group and Society ) has been made to create a tourism product that is based upon the local communities to contribute back to the local economy. MITA Tourism Fair 2016 will promise an once in a lifetime holiday vacation offer that will sure be interesting and catchy for visitors to travel domestically.
