Ramadan baking and sharing with Kellogg’s

Kellogg is introducing eight (8) limited edition Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cookie recipes, which are ideal for baking this Ramadhan. From 17th June to 14th July 2015, Kellogg’s sampling trucks will be at Ramadhan bazaars and selected hypermarkets and supermarkets. Those who visit the sampling trucks can watch live baking demonstrations by talented bakers, showcasing the various ways Corn Flakes® can be used to bake special festive treats.

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 JUNE 2015 – Kellogg is introducing eight (8) limited edition Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cookie recipes, which are ideal for baking this Ramadan. Maria Tunku Sabri, popular food show host who is part of the initiative, encourages consumers to try Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cookie recipes, visit sampling trucks at selected locations and pledge to send their Ramadan wishes with the cookies from Kellogg to orphanages this holy month.

From 17^th June to 14^th July 2015, Kellogg’s sampling trucks will be at Ramadan bazaars and selected hypermarkets and supermarkets. Those who visit the sampling trucks can also watch live baking demonstrations by talented bakers, showcasing the various ways Corn Flakes® can be used to bake special festive treats.

Ted Liang, marketing director of Kellogg Asia Marketing, shares, “For many Malaysians, young and old alike, cookies have become a staple and memorable treat to break fast with during Ramadhan. Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® has become a popular baking ingredient because it gives that extra crunch and added taste that only comes from being made from real corn. With our special cookie recipes, we hope our consumers will discover new ways of enjoying Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®, be it for breakfast or break fast.”

Inspired by the spirit of giving and sharing during the holy month, consumers can spread the joy of tasty cookies by pledging to send them to less fortunate children. Together with Maria Tunku Sabri, popular host of television show ‘Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan’, Kellogg’s aims to send cookies to selected orphanages and welfare homes in Malaysia. With each pledge collected, a child who is fasting will receive Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cookies for break fast.

“It’s a joy to be part of the Kellogg’s Ramadhan campaign. Every Ramadhan, I bake cookies for my family and we always want the best for our family, so it’s important to use only the best ingredients. Having good food also encourages the importance of sharing, which really, is the key ingredient to truly enjoying the food we eat. For this reason, I urge fellow Malaysians to pledge Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® cookies to as many children as possible, in the hopes of sharing the happiness these treats may bring,” says Maria Tunku Sabri.

During Ramadan, each Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® box will feature two of these eight (8) limited edition cookie recipes: Crunchy Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Drops, Corn Flakes Bread Fingers, Cranberry Corn Flakes Cookies, Coconut and Corn Flakes Crunch, Layered Corn Flakes Parfait, Chewy Nutty Corn Flakes Squares, Cheesy Corn Flakes Melts, and Cheesy Pandan Cake.
