Kuala Lumpur, 1 May 2015 – More than 500 participants turned up with their passports and luggage for the first ever Air France Instant Takeoff to Paris in Kuala Lumpur.
Winners Mohamad Ridzuan bin Mohd Norawi and Kasmaliza binti Mohd Norawi, Yong Jia Ling and Marvin Chan Kong Oon, Khairol Khairi bin Samsudin and Wan Nurul Zahida binti Wan Abdul Jalil, Muhammad Khairul bin Rosli and Muhammad Ikram bin A Jalil, Chin Suk Fun and Chin Muii Quan, were rewarded with return flight tickets and hotel accommodation at the live draw held at the Rooftop of Avenue K on Friday evening.
One of the lucky winners, Yong Jia Ling, 28, who will be travelling with her husband of two years, 33-year old Marvin Chan, said: “We registered for the Air France Instant Takeoff only two days before it closed and are so excited to be going to Paris for our very first time! We are planning to visit the Eiffel Tower but haven’t really planned an itinerary – we just want to explore Paris and find out what the city has to offer!”
As part of the celebration of the second anniversary of its Kuala Lumpur route, Air France offered five pairs of winners the chance to be whisked directly to the airport on the evening of 1 May 2015 to Paris, the most romantic destination in the world, and return to Kuala Lumpur on 5 May 2015.
Prior to the live draw, participants had to pre-register online, with a travel companion, at airfrance.my from 24 until 30 April 2015.
Registered participants were then invited to join its Instant Takeoff event on 1 May 2015 for the live draw.
They were required to pack their bags and bring along their passports to the event for an instant takeoff. The winners flew to Paris instantly and will enjoy two nights of hotel accommodation sponsored by Accor.
Aude-Lise Combier, Air France KLM Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei said: “Air France’s second anniversary in Malaysia is the perfect opportunity for us to continue to surprise our customers in Malaysia with a taste of France – from the moment they get whisked away to the airport, check in at the airport, and experience first-hand our in-flight services; it will be quality service all the way.
She added: “We want to engage with the public in a fun and creative manner and what better way to do this than to treat them to an impromptu trip to Paris. The first ever Air France Instant Takeoff is our way of showing customers that we care, and that the pleasure of Paris and France starts as soon as they board an Air France flight.”
Travellers on board Air France will get to experience the French dining experience where meals start with either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage offer. Champagne and wines selected by Paolo Basso, voted world’s best sommelier in 2013, are also served. There is a choice of two hot meals, followed by cheese and bread, dessert and digestifs.
