KUALA LUMPUR, 18th September 2015 – Citrawarna also known as Colours of 1Malaysia returns for its 16th edition since 1999 showcasing an abundance of spectacular performances and shows that depict the unique culture and heritage of Malaysia.

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Citrawarna @ Kuala Lumpur 2015 will be held on 17th October 2015 at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur starting from 10.00 am to 11.30 pm with lots of fun activities.

Being the one of its kind, Citrawarna @ Kuala Lumpur 2015 is intended to showcase Malaysia’s rich tapestry of culture and heritage as well as to promote Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as a whole being an attractive and vibrant tourist’s destination.

Citrawarna @ Kuala Lumpur 2015 brings you the ‘Culture, Nature, Future,’ concept featuring more than 600 performers through music. dances. illuminations, fireworks, display, gigantic projections, and highly aesthetic images accompanied by special effects that will definitely leave the spectators in awe. With a special touch from the well known multiple awards winning Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, this is an event not to miss for.

Following the historic inspiration of Malaysia, among the unique element to be showcased is the spectacular Balairong Seri inspired performance space with a futuristic Singgahsana fit for kings and the majestic Sultan Abdul Samad Building as the backdrop making Citrawarna @ Kuala Lumpur 2015 an exceptional Malaysian Extravaganza.

A lot of fun activities will be held through Myfest Chillax Zone starting from 16th to 17th of October 2015 in Dataran Merdeka and among the activities are the Graffiti Live Demo, Chalk Art Zone, Games and Prizes, Cosplay Competition, Buskers and Artist Performances, Skateboard Demo, Clinic and Competition and also the Food Truck Fiesta.

The official ceremony will be held on 17 October 2015, 8.30 pm by the Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamad Nazri bin Abdul Aziz.

All are invited and admission is free.
