A Celebration of Sheila Majid: 40 Years in Music

KUALA LUMPUR 13 November 2025 – A sold-out solo mega show in stunning Technicolor lighting brought together 9,000 fans from across the globe, from as far as the USA, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia, all under one roof at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. It was a night where music, memories, and emotions came together to celebrate the incomparable Sheila Majid.

Organised by Altus Prohouse in collaboration with TopGallant Show, the production was nothing short of world class and visually breathtaking.

DJ Jemput Dengar opened the show, spinning the tune of the classic by Anuar Zain, “Bila Resah”, as the crowd settled in and warmed up.

At 8:49pm, standing in the middle of the stage with her signature hand gesture, Sheila Majid made a grand entrance. With a dramatic reveal of her first outfit, the crowd erupted as she opened with “Warna” from the 1988 album Warna, and the crowd shouted, “Oh oh Sheila!”

Sheila dazzled throughout the night in four glittering red outfits by Michael Ong, a colour chosen to honour Sheila’s ruby anniversary.

A total of 25 songs were performed, showcasing the full spectrum of her legendary career. From Warna to Sinaran, every performance reflected four decades of grace and timeless artistry. The atmosphere was electric, every lyric sung back by the crowd, especially during Antara Anyer dan Jakarta, Aku Cinta Padamu, Ku Mohon, Jatuh Cinta Sekali Lagi, Dia, Legenda and Sinaran. Each melody was a heartfelt reminder of how deeply Sheila’s music has touched generations.

A peak of intimacy came with “Kerinduan”, performed alongside Tohpati, the renowned Indonesian guitarist and composer.

Another highlight was Kayda Aziz, Sheila’s singer songwriter daughter, who joined as a special guest to perform her mother’s hit “Boneka”, finishing with a heartfelt mother and daughter duet that beautifully connected legacy and the future.

Supported by a stellar creative team, Mac Chew, Jenny Chin and Jennifer Thompson, and accompanied by ten exceptional musicians including Tohpati and three backing vocalists, Uchi, Ira and Icha, the concert became a magnificent symphony of sound, light and soul, with world class finesse added by Steve Ho, internationally acclaimed for his stage, LED and lighting design work with Cantopop icons Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan.

The audience included devoted fans as well as notable figures from the Malaysian and Indonesian entertainment industries, including Vina Panduwinata, Afgan, Anuar Zain, Datuk M. Nasir, Ella, Misha Omar, Yusry KRU, Lisa Surihani, Jaclyn Victor, Joe Flizzow and Fazura.

As Sheila ended the night with Sinaran, the audience left Axiata Arena with wide smiles and unforgettable memories of this 40th concert.

Congratulations, Sheila Majid, on an extraordinary 40 year journey that continues to inspire hearts across the world. You have proven that true legends never fade and only shine brighter with time.

Thank you, Kak Sheila, for the songs, the stories and the spirit that keep us believing in friendship, commitment and passion. A truly heartfelt celebration of a legend who defined elegance, authenticity and the enduring power of music.
