Malaysia’s First MINISO LAND Opens at Sunway Pyramid
SELANGOR, Malaysia, 28 February 2026 — Global lifestyle brand MINISO has unveiled Malaysia’s first MINISO LAND and the largest in Southeast Asia at Sunway Pyramid, introducing a 1,700-square-metre immersive retail concept designed for IP and character enthusiasts.
Positioned on the mall’s first floor, the store features a gold-toned interior with playful lighting and themed zones that encourage exploration, photography and discovery. Shoppers can browse more than 8,000 products across multiple categories, with over 70 percent featuring popular intellectual property (IP) characters.
The space is organised into 15 themed consumption and interactive experience zones, offering collectibles, blind boxes, plush toys, lifestyle accessories, beauty items and everyday essentials. The concept blends retail with experiential elements, creating a playground-like environment for shoppers of all ages.
MINISO LAND brings together global and regional fan-favourite characters, including Sanrio icons, Monchhichi and the retro-inspired Pac-Man collection, some of which are appearing in MINISO stores in Malaysia for the first time. The brand’s proprietary IPs, such as the YOYO Cupid Ring series, are also prominently featured, with 10 YOYO sculptures installed throughout the store as interactive photo attractions.
To mark the grand opening, MINISO’s mascots Gift Bear and Friends made their Malaysia debut, engaging shoppers through launch-day activities and photo opportunities. The opening positions MINISO LAND as a new experiential retail destination for gifts, collectibles and character-themed merchandise in Selangor.
