During his address, YB Dato’ Ng shared encouraging figures from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), reaffirming Selangor’s top position in the domestic tourism landscape. “In 2024, the state recorded 34.5 million local visitors. Much of this success is thanks to our close collaboration with the media and digital content creators, whose storytelling brings Selangor’s rich tourism offerings to the front,” he said.

“The Selangor Travel Fair will feature over 30 tourism exhibitors, cultural showcases, interactive workshops, crafts and SMEs, a live podcast by Media Selangor, and a spectacular ‘Surprising Selangor’ concert featuring Aizat Amdan, Lah Ahmad, and PADAT,” shared Ms. Chua Yee Ling.

The fair will also witness the official launch of the campaign’s video and theme song under the tagline “Selangor Kan Ada!”, a call to rediscover the charm of Selangor’s nine diverse districts. The campaign seeks to shine a light on hidden gems, from tranquil nature escapes to rich cultural experiences, positioning the state as a must-visit destination in the lead-up to Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

Tourism Selangor also took the opportunity to update guests on the Visit Selangor Year Tourism Grant (Phase 2). Open for applications from 1 July to 31 October 2025, the grant carries a total allocation of RM300,000 to support initiatives that promote the state’s tourism potential.
