One World Hosts Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah Children for Iftar
ONE WORLD HOTEL HOSTS PUSAT JAGAAN BAITUL HIDAYAH FOR IFTAR
Last 12 July 2013, One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya today hosted 45 orphans and their caretakers from Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah for iftar at the Cinnamon Coffee House as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility project entitled ‘Merealisasikan Satu Hajat’ (Realising One Wish),
Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah is a non-profit organisation that was set up in 2003 in Puchong, housing a total of 40 orphans (30 boys and 10 girls) and underprivileged children aged between 3 months and 13 yrs old. The home is a privately run charity under Yayasan Kebajikan & Perkhidmatan Perubatan Malaysia (Yayasan).

The children were feted by the hotel’s employees who served, fed and entertained the orphans.
“On behalf of the hotel, I’d like to thank all the staff for raising funds to help fulfill the children’s Raya wishes this festive season. It was indeed an unforgettable buka puasa for us to be able to share the joy with the orphans. Watching the smiles on each of the children’s faces was simply priceless,” claimed Joanne Chau, Director of Finance.
“This initiative is part of our corporate social responsibility programme as well as a reminder to be mindful of the less fortunate and be grateful for what we have,” she added.
The hotel’s heads of department presented each of them a goodie bag containing their Raya wish list and ‘duit raya’ on behalf of the management and staff of One World Hotel.
