First opened to the public on 1 April 2017, the design-centric hotel ONE@Tokyo has recently celebrated its official grand opening on 28 July 2017.   The hotel’s facade and interior design are the work of world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Fusing industrial materials with natural wood, this new hotel exemplifies the contrast found in Oshiage, which retains the feeling of a bygone Edo era, while being set in modern metropolis Tokyo. First opened to the public on 1 April 2017, the design-centric hotel ONE@Tokyo has recently celebrated its official grand opening on 28 July 2017.

 

The hotel’s facade and interior design are the work of world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Fusing industrial materials with natural wood, this new hotel exemplifies the contrast found in Oshiage, which retains the feeling of a bygone Edo era, while being set in modern metropolis Tokyo.

This 142-guestroom hotel soars up to ten storeys, putting the landmark Tokyo Skytree™ right outside the guests’ window. It also has one restaurant and one rooftop bar.
ONE@Tokyo includes a variety of guest rooms, including an Atelier Suite (56 square metres) created to resemble an artiste’s atelier; and a Library Suite (56 square metres), a private haven for book lovers. There are also spacious Lofts (28 square metres) with the view of Tokyo Skytree™; minimalist yet functional Studios (14 square metres) and fully wheelchair-accessible Universal room (28 square metres).
ONE@Tokyo’s service concept is ‘Installation for Time Travel towards Historic Tokyo’, the hotel conscientiously pays homage to the enduring qualities that make Tokyo great, besides  turning the hotel into a unique art exhibit. Being only three minutes’ walk to the Oshiage Station and only 30 minutes from Tokyo Station using the efficient Tokyo Metro, ONE@Tokyo aspires to become the information centre and central base for discerning travellers.
