The new addition brings the airline’s fleet size to 26, including 11 ATR turboprop aircraft.

The new aircraft will be operated on regional routes as the airline focuses on progressively expanding its route network internationally this year.

The airline is also expected to take delivery of its 16th Boeing jet next month, closing the year on a high note alongside new route announcements to Australia, China, and further points of Asia.

Malindo Air CEO, Mr. Chandran Rama Muthy said, “As air travel in South East Asia receives rapid growth in recent years, the demand for airlines to connect point-to- point between cities and on underserved routes will continue to draw in more tourist arrivals to the region and to the country, which will eventually be a boon to economies and the tourism industry. With new aircraft arrivals, we are able to provide a more comprehensive network offering higher flight frequencies.”

“The faith that our passengers have in our brand is a commitment we will continue to uphold to enhance our product and service offerings across the board,” he added.
