Our Home Away from Home

All 202 rooms of Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm Mall are spacious, thoughtfully designed for maximum use of space. Our stay was in a spacious room designed with a modern minimalist aesthetic, characterised by a clean layout, comfortable bed and soft lighting that create a calm environment, ideal for rest after a full day out. Our Twin room is furnished with super single-sized beds, topped with fluffy duvets that ensure restful sleep. There is a spacious sofa as big as a single-sized bed and next to it, a round table suitable for dining or working. The room comes equipped with a tea and coffee making facilities, minibar fridge, iron with ironing board, safe box and of course, smart flat-screen television set. 

The hotel has two dining outlets: a 24/7 dining concept called The Market with its variety of grab-and-go for a quick bite and snack, and the all-day dining outlet On Seven Bistro, where the breakfast buffet, including dishes like Italian and local favourites for lunch and dinner, are served.

We had the pleasure of enjoying the afternoon tea set on our day of arrival. The generous portion of the set made us so full that we skipped dinner altogether! The set has a mix of ten sweet and savoury morsels, came accompanied with bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and a choice of tea or coffee. The afternoon tea set is available daily from 12:00 noonuntil 6:00 p.m. The hotel currently runs the Ocean’s Bounty Buffet Dinner every Saturday night until 31 January 2026. From seafood boils and baked oysters to seafood paella and ketam sambal (crab cooked with chilli), seafood lovers like us enjoy feasting on everything that is laid out on the buffet. 

For leisure, there is a rooftop infinity pool that comes with a children’s pool and jacuzzi for endless water fun for the whole family. Fitness buffs will appreciate the gym located on the same floor. There are plenty of flexible social spaces ideal for both work and leisure for guests to enjoy. At the same time, Muslim guests will be pleased to find that a sizeable Muslim prayer room is provided too, which we estimated could comfortably accommodate 30 worshippers at any one time.
