MALINDO Air Gets Airline Operating Certificate (AOC)
Sepang, Feb, 2013 – Malindo Air announced today that it has received an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) to perform commercial air operations. The approval marks a significant achievement in the unleashing of the much awaited newly formed low cost carrier.
Malindo Air is on target to commence its operations in March. This regulatory milestone is significant from an operational policy and procedures perspective, as an airline is mandatory to obtain it prior to operating its services.

Malindo Air, Malaysia’s very first hybrid airline will introduce Business and Economy Classes product offerings. The all leather seats aircraft have wider seat pitches of 45 inches in Business Class and 32 inches in Economy Class offering a new option of comfort to travellers.
Also available on board are facilities such as personal TV for In-flight Entertainment system, full meal service is served in Business Class and light snacks in Economy Class. Other added values that Malindo Air offer are free baggage allowances of 30kg for Business Class travellers and 15kg for the Economy Class travellers.
Malindo Air’s emergence in Malaysia’s low cost carrier market will position Malaysia as the hub that connects the Asian cities, promoting sustainability in the industry and generating economic growth.
