Philea Resort and Spa Inculcates Spirit of Patriotism
Resort staff Khairul Azmi wore an attire draped in the Malaysian flag and performed a Merdeka flash mob at the lobby together other staffs and popular artists.
Melaka, Malaysia, 31st August 2013 – Merdeka Day is celebrated every year in Malaysia on the 31st of August. In the spirit of Merdeka Day, Philea Resort and Spa is distributing out colourful Jalur Gemilang to the motorists in front of the resort to instill the Merdeka spirit and encourage people to display the flags on their vehicles.
The enthusiast staff members, local artists and crew from Astro ERA FM teamed up at the road in front of the resort waving the miniature national flags and distributed it out to all passing vehicles entering to Malacca city via the Ayer Keroh toll here to instill spirit of patriotism among Malaysians.

On the other hand, our guests and artists at the resort were taken by surprise when a flash mob performance, involved the participation of resort staff members, performed at the lobby with Malaysian patriotic and national song ‘Tanggal 31 Ogos’, as part of the Malaysia’s 56th Independence Day celebrations.
“The objective of this event is to promote multi-racial integration and unity behind our Jalur Gemilang. Flag-waving symbolizes the spirit of patriotism and pride, unity and love for the country. The resort’s lobby also has been decorated with the flying Jalur Gemilang to welcome our guests”, mentioned Connie Chin, Director of Marketing Communications.
This meaningful celebration was attended by several artists such as Firman, Faizal Tahir, Syae, Fourteen, Black, Najwa Latif and Soo Wincci, in conjunction with the ERA FM’s Football event – ERAvaganza which will be held in Melaka on 31st August 2013 at Stadium Hang Jebat, Melaka.
Also on hand to support the event were the Tourism Malaysia Melaka and Astro ERA FM.
