KUALA LUMPUR April 13, 2017 – Eleven hotels in Malaysia have been revealed as the country’s ultimate hotel hotspots, according to the™ Loved by Guests Awards 2017, where the hotel guests are the real judges.

In comparison, in 2016, only nine Malaysian hotels made it to the Loved by Guests list.

The 11 best hotels in Malaysia this year are located in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Sandakan. Penang tops the list, with four gold winners, followed by Langkawi with three winning, two hotels from Kuala Lumpur and one hotel from Sandakan, Sabah.

Globally, hotels in the US were the biggest gold award winners, with 969 properties being recognized. Other top countries included the UK (171 hotels), Italy (153), Canada (86) and Spain (70).
