Missed out on the Khalid’s first-ever concert in Malaysia? Fret not because there will be another great show coming up with equally stellar music line-up, including Wolf Alice, Bodega, Se So Neon, Phum Viphurit, and our very own rising stars Bil Musa as well as Midnight Fusic. The concert will be taking place at Chin Woo Stadium on 10 November 2018, and you can buy tickets to watch the performances here. There will also be plenty of fun games and food trucks offering delicious snacks on site, so get ready for a day of unlimited fun!

Do you know that Petaling Street used to be the hub of entertainment for the Chinese community in Kuala Lumpur back in the olden days? Neither did we. So, why not take this chance to learn more about the area and the once thriving Chinese Opera industry through the eyes and ears of local pillars of the Petaling Street community? Free walk takes place on 10, 11, 17 and 18 November 2018, from 10am to 11.30am and 4pm to 5.30pm. Interested participants can register at the Urbanscapes House prior the tour.

This is an outdoor dance experience that brings audiences on a walking tour throughout Kuala Lumpur. Join the dancers as they breathe new life into the historic open spaces and allow yourself to be fascinated by the engaging dance routines from Malaysia’s most-celebrated choreographers such as Rathimalar Govindarajoo, Lee Ren Xin, Rithaudin Abdul Kadir and many more! Warung Panggung is street puppet theatre on wheels! Moving across various locations throughout downtown KL in a modular cart, MUKA Space and the Malaysian Puppetry Association bring you their reimagined story of Yap Ah Loy and his journey to save a dystopian Kuala Lumpur. Bring your kids too because this is definitely one for the family!

OBEY GIANT: THE ART AND DISSENT OF SHEPARD FAIREY
Catch the Malaysian premiere of the award-winning documentary on the life and work of artist Shepard Fairey, going deep into the world of street art and its role in politics and pop culture. OBEY GIANT follows Fairey’s rise from his roots in punk rock and skateboarding, to his role as one of the most well-known and influential street artists in the world through his iconic Obama “HOPE” poster and the controversy that surrounds it. The premiere takes place at the Urbanscapes House on 10 and 11 November 2018 from 3pm to 6.30pm.

The Zhongshan Building is an interconnected row of shophouses from 1950s, now transformed into an arts and research hub. See the building comes to life with creative happenings on 10 and 11 November 2018, including thought-provoking art exhibitions, playful installation combining art and food, as well as an interactive installation using voice recording machines and playbacks that encourages visitors to share their thoughts and opinions on certain subjects (anonymously for future visitors).

Get physical as you cycle into a virtual past-present-future of KL with ‘Through Times’, relive childhood hopscotch memories with ‘Digital Ting Ting’, reimagine yourself as a digital picture in ‘Futura’, and dance your way through the musical eras of Malaysia with a custom-made mirror suit and apparatus in ‘Disco Ball’.

Step into the shoes of a refugee to get the glimpse of how home looked like before the war broke out, their journey to Malaysia and how home in Kuala Lumpur is like now. Weekend activities include hair-cuts and hair styling by Dignity for Children, educational board games with refugee teens by E-Illuminate and jewellery upcycling workshops.
