Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial of AirAsia Berhad said “Over the past year, we have worked hard to strengthen our connectivity from other hubs in Malaysia. We are delighted to announce another international route connecting not only Johoreans, but the Southern community directly to Jakarta; as well as providing more links for Indonesians to come to different points in Malaysia.”

The AirAsia Group (Malaysia AirAsia and Indonesia AirAsia) currently operates 125 weekly flights into Johor Bahru’ Senai International Airport, inclusive of both domestic and international flights.

Jakarta, with a population about 23 million people is the largest city in Indonesia and was once a bustling port which has evolved into an exciting and modern hub with deeply-rooted traditions weaved in between.

Solo, a quieter version of its “twin sister” Yogyakarta located 65 kilometres away, embodies the refined and sophisticated ideals of the Javanese culture that is authentic Indonesian experience.
