Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) has teamed up with AXN Asia to launch a new original short-form reality series, ‘Dubai Ultimate Challenge’.

Set to premiere on November 18, this high energy seven-part series stars three teams of renowned social influencers, each representing their home countries of Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, in a range of exciting challenges set against the spectacular backdrop of Dubai. Popular TV personalities Alan Wong and Justin Bratton, of Asia’s Got Talent fame, return to the screen to host the series.

Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), “Malaysia remains an important market for Dubai Tourism, as visitors are discovering Dubai’s diverse array of unique and affordable experiences for their ideal holiday. With the support of the social influencers, Dubai Ultimate Challenge provides Malaysian travellers with a fascinating insight into all facets of our destination, including Dubai’s vibrant arts and culture, gastronomy, outdoor adventure and lifestyle offerings.”

Doing Malaysia proud is Sharifah Sakinah, a popular actress and fitness enthusiast, and Siti Saleha, also an award-winning actress, model and TV host. Together with Team Indonesia (Ammar Zoni and Edho Zell) and Singapore (Melissa C. Koh and Sophia Chong), the influencers will be put through their paces to create the most compelling Dubai-inspired Instagram stories.

Team challenges include the adrenaline rush of sky diving over The Palm Jumeirah, diving with sharks at Aquatrek Xtreme at Atlantis, The Palm; shopping for unique souvenirs on a budget at the Old Souk, experiencing authentic desert life at Al Marmoom Bedouin camp, and creating delicious new flavours at Dubai’s home-grown Mirzam Chocolate factory. At the end of each episode, hosts Alan and Justin will decide the winning team, who will receive the coveted Dubai pin. In the finale episode, the team with the most Dubai pins will be crowned the winner, and their grand prize is to select one Dubai Ultimate Challenge super fan to explore Dubai with a friend. Dubai Ultimate Challenge premieres on AXN Asia on November 18 and will air every Monday and Wednesday at 7.40pm SGT/MYT (6.40pm JKT). The series will also be simulcast on AXN Asia YouTube and Facebook.
