Continuing its expansion in Malaysia, Best Western Premier has officially launched its latest property called Best Western Premier Ion Delemen (BWP Ion Delemen) in Genting Highlands. Travellers searching for a luxurious retreat amongst the clouds may keep an eye on this newly-launched hotel.
Owned and operated by Ion Delemen Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the NCT Group of Companies, this astonishing property sits 6,000 feet above sea level and is spread across 10.2 acres of pristine greenery. Guests will be able to enjoy a panoramic mountain views that are bound to take their breath away and fresh, cool air that should add a spring to their step.
The property boasts with 246 resort-inspired deluxe rooms and 1,2 & 3 beedroom suites, the first of its kind in the vicinity. There are more to admire about BWP Ion Delemen, including an indoor gym and sauna, a heated infinity pool with strong touch of modern interior design, wellness spa, adventure course with a flying fox line, children’s playground at the sky garden as well as a variety of dining venues serving international and local tastes. One of the nearby attractions is Genting Highlands and guests are able to travel there via the complimentary shuttle service provided by the hotel.

Ensuring the new hotel will be operated by a well-established and respected partner, the owners signed up with Best Western International as a franchise to brand this world-class facility. The concept for the luxurious property was conceived in 2011 and is scheduled for completion in 2018. NCT Group of Companies Founder and Group Managing Director Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy had the nation’s most well-known Feng Shui master Yap Cheng Hai assess the property whilst Australian architecture Vaugn Carnaffan worked closely with local architect Ar. Khalid Ahmed on the initial masterplan and concept prior to purchase.
According to Dato’ Sri Yap, the name Ion Delemen was inspired from the five elements theory in a Chinese philosophy, which is used to describe the interaction and relationship between objects. With the five natural elements derived from the age-old philosophical concept at Feng Shui at the core of its design philosophy – water, earth, wood, metal and fire.
Guests will appreciate not just the environment but also the unique art and furniture pieces throughout the hotel. All the property’s design features, including the colour schemes for each area within the hotel, draw inspiration from the five energies and the highland area of where the hotel is located on.

Pemangku Raja Pahang Tengku Mahkota Tengku Abdullah Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah expressed his belief that the latest luxurious address in Genting Highlands would contribute to boost up Pahang tourism sector.
“The arrival of the World’s Largest Hotel Chain to Genting Highlands augers well for the state as it should attract the attention of tourists from far and wide, and this should benefit the state’s economy. Genting Highlands has seen as a renaissance of sorts over recent times and there is more in store such as the upcoming opening of 20th Century Fox World and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Centre. Indeed, the future looks bright for Genting Highlands and the state of Pahang, just as we are celebrating Visit Pahang 2017,” he said.
As part of its future plans, the property is expected to provide a 22,000 sq ft wellness centre operated by JK Medical Group, which will offer various aesthetic treatments as well as plastic surgery procedures. Scheduled to be fully completed in 2017, there will be an added meeting space, over 300 additional rooms and an executive lounge on level 35 that could be claimed as the highest executive lounge in Malaysia.
