Casuarina Hotel Chain Wins Two Awards at Perak Tourism Awards
IPOH, 9 October 2024 – The hospitality subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk), Hotel Casuarina@Meru and Hotel Casuarina @ Kuala Kangsar, were awarded top honours at the Perak Tourism Awards 2024, winning in the categories of ‘Excellence in Business Event Hotel Award’ and ‘Best Destination Award’ respectively. The awards were presented by YAB Menteri Besar Perak Dato’ Seri Saarani bin Mohamad during the Perak Tourism Awards 2024 ceremony held on October 2nd, 2024.
Under the Perak Corporation Berhad, both hotel brands exemplified the excellence of service and quality, reflecting their unwavering commitment to providing outstanding service to all visitors.
Hotel Casuarina @ Kuala Kangsar won the ‘Best Cityscape Destination Award’, under the ‘Best Destination Award’; while Hotel Casuarina@Meru was honoured with the ‘Excellence in Business Event Hotel Award’. The awards ceremony, organised by Tourism Perak, was held at Hotel Casuarina@Meru and officiated by YAB Menteri Besar Perak Dato Seri Saarani bin Mohamad.

The event featured 45 nominations across ten categories: accommodation, service, tourism products, etc.
YBhg. Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, Chief Executive of PKNPk and Member of the Board of Directors of Casuarina Meru Sdn Bhd, stated, “These awards recognise Casuarina for its excellent facilities and outstanding service standards. It is a great honour and recognition of our hard work and dedication. It also represents the Perak State Government’s support in elevating Perak as a premier tourism hub through the Visit Perak Year 2024 campaign.”

Datuk Redza also expressed confidence that these awards will be a factor in customers choosing the hotel as their main accommodation destination when visiting Ipoh and Perak. “These awards will catalyse further success and maintain excellence in Perak’s tourism industry,” he added.
Meanwhile, YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Azhar Jamaluddin, Chairman of Casuarina Meru Sdn. The ceremony was further enlivened by the presence of YB Tuan Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of the Perak State Committee for Tourism, Investment, and Corridor Development. YB. Dato’ Mohd Kamil Dato’ Shafie, Chairman of Tourism Perak; Pn. Nurmalis Musa, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak and En. Rosmin Mohamed, Group Chief Executive Officer of Perak Corp were also present to celebrate this success as a symbol of tourism progress in Perak.
