KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Food; may be overlooked or sound trivial; but it is a great unifier of Malaysians. Malaysia is a multiracial country; has one commonality that never fails to bond citizens under one roof; regardless of race and beliefs. This year; in the spirit of Ramadan, a feast of celebration awaits at Element Kuala Lumpur. Located on the 40th floor; TRACE Restaurant and Bar proudly presents ‘Selera Malaysia’ dinner buffet. Executive Chef Man and his team are setting stakes high by curating the best of Malaysian favourites for the month of Ramadan.
Breakfast with an array of sweet dates and whet the appetite at the Salad Bar with refreshing greens and local composed salad such as Chicken with Mushroom Salad, Smoked Meat Salad and Mango Salad (Kerabu Ayam Cendawan, Kerabu Daging Salai, Kerabu Manga). Relish with assorted local ulam-ulam, spicy authentic dips, salted fishes and local homegrown crackers.
A must-try from the menu includes Nasi Dagang; a popular local dish originated from the East of Malaysia. Made from glutinous rice, coconut milk served with mackerel fish gravy and pickles. Not to miss; hot from the wok station – Char Koay Teow – a much sought after Malaysian Chinese noodle dish; containing wok-fried rice noodles with prawns, cockles, chicken and fresh bean sprout. Other dishes include Asam Laksa from the noodle station, hot and sour soup with rice noodles made with fish stock and local herbs, guaranteed to be lip-smacking delicious. Not to forget the chef’s selection of roasted lamb “percik” with biryani rice and condiments, roasted chicken rice, assorted dim sum and many more.
TRACE introduces smoked honey glazed beef and grilled pineapples. A crowd-puller on its own; this dish calls for attention as it is sliced and served from a mobile trolley. The tenderness of smoked meat combined with the juiciness of grilled pineapples promises a memorable sky dining experience.
