Since its inception in 2004, this national pride has epitomised excellence, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to preserving the ancient artistry of pewter crafting.

From humble beginnings at the Selangor Pewter Complex to its grand transformation into the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. On March 2, 2004, the visitor centre was inaugurated by H.R.H. Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, marking a significant milestone. The royal connection traces back to H.R.H. Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, who granted a royal warrant to Selangor Pewter in 1979.
