Sepang, 27 September 2024 – The KULinary Dining Awards 2024 have officially taken off at KL International Airport, showcasing the best of airport dining in a way that’s anything but ordinary. This year’s ceremony, part of the KULinary 2024 food festival, celebrated the top food and beverage outlets across KLIA’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and the results were as exciting as a long-haul flight to a dreamy destination.
With awards spanning 12 categories, including Best Ambience and Best Overall, the event highlighted establishments that have truly transformed airport dining. Here is the full list of the award recipients:
Best Local Coffee: ZUS Coffee (Eraman Malaysia)
Best International Coffee: illy Caffé (SSP Malaysia)
Best Grab & Go Services: Krispy Kreme
Best Local Dish: Grandmama’s and NÖÖÖDLES Signature
Best Pastry Dish: PAUL LE CAFÉ
Best International Dish: DIN by Din Tai Fung and Hard Rock Cafe
Quick Bite Dish: The Loaf
Best Ambience (open category): Kitchen by OpenHouse
Best Services (open category): Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria
Most Innovative Dish (open category): Jibby Chow
Best Newcomer (open category): Serai
Best Overall (open category): Petit Café Chef Wan

The awards ceremony attracted a host of local celebrities, including Scha Alyahya, Awal Ashaari, Thanuja, Sweet Qismina and Uyaina Arshad, all keen to indulge in the award-winning culinary delights. Their presence added a touch of glamour to an already impressive event, as guests explored the very best KLIA has to offer.
Hani Ezra Hussin, Senior General Manager of Commercial Services for Malaysia Airports, stated, ““This year’s winners have truly redefined what airport dining can be. Our partnership with Tatler Dining allows us to spotlight the remarkable culinary gems at our airports. From top-tier service to creative, high-quality dishes, these outlets represent the crème de la crème of airport dining.” The KULinary initiative, launched in 2016, continues to motivate operators to elevate their service standards, ensuring that every passenger enjoys exceptional dining experiences.
From 27 to 29 September 2024, the festival invites travellers and visitors to savour an array of 16 delectable dishes and beverages, alongside exciting activities led by renowned chefs. Highlights include a food photography workshop with Trisha Toh and a cooking demonstration by Chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob—perfect for both aspiring cooks and food enthusiasts alike.
For those eager to taste the award-winning dishes, the KULinary Booklet & GWP is available for just RM40 (down from RM50). Each booklet contains 10 vouchers, allowing guests to sample the finest offerings at the event, along with an exclusive set of wooden utensils to enhance the dining experience.
