Siem Reap, Cambodia, June 2020 – Over 100 of the Management and Associates from Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort and ABA Bank Pshar Leu Branch came forward to take part in the Community Clean-up Drive Activity on 13th of June 2020.

The goal is to improve the cleanliness of the area despite the severity the pandemic has caused the world as one Community, as well as to promote waste reduction, recycling and reuse, and create a public awareness on waste management and environmental concerns to improve the overall quality of Siem Reap’s natural environment.

Community Clean-up Drive Activity

The Team assembled at Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort to start the clean-up drive activity.


“Marriott has a long tradition of emphasizing cleanliness in our properties around the globe and we wanted to take a thoughtful approach to set an even higher bar of cleanliness by tidying up the City where we operate in. The activity has exceeded our expectations as it brings together individuals and businesses, with a massive support from the Community Authorities, for a common goal of making Siem Reap cleaner and greener,” says Ms. Ashley Lai, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort.

“Community clean-up is not just a one time commitment so our Team is planning the next stage of making this activity a City wide campaign and yearn to inspire everyone that responsible waste management can better protect our City, its resources and more importantly its people,” Ms. Ashley Lai added.
