‘GO Malaysia Fair’ Is Back in Singapore
SINGAPORE, 19 April 2025 – The highly anticipated ‘GO Malaysia Fair’, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia – Singapore office was officiated by His Excellency, Dato’ Indera Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore. The fair aims to inspire wanderlust and facilitate travel planning for both experienced travellers alongside those embarking on their first journey.
With over 30 booths on display, visitors can look forward to exclusive discounts on flights, hotels, and tour packages as well as cultural performances that celebrates the rich diversity of Malaysia’s heritage. The fair provided a unique opportunity to rediscover Malaysia which offers a variety of attractions and packages for the upcoming month-long June holidays in Singapore.
YBhg Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, stated: “Singapore continues to be the leading source of visitors’ arrivals that plays a vital role in driving Malaysia’s tourism sector. Thus, collaborating with the organizer is expected to encourage more Singaporeans to visit Malaysia multiple times a year. In line with Tourism Malaysia’s efforts to transform excursionists into overnight tourists, increase the average length of stay, and boost tourism receipts, this initiative contributes meaningfully towards achieving our goal of welcoming 45 million visitors and generating RM270 billion in tourism receipts by 2026 under the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.”
Tourism Malaysia hosted a dedicated booth which featured six renowned Malaysian operators including Attana Hotels & Resorts, Berjaya Hotel & Resorts, Dusit Princess Melaka, Royale Chulan Hotels & Resorts, The Boathouse Pulau Tioman and SIREH Park (The Nusajaya Natural Heritage Trust).
On the eve of the fair, Tourism Malaysia – Singapore office hosted a seminar that provided the six operators with a dynamic networking session, bringing together 50 Singaporean travel agents. This created a valuable opportunity for meaningful discussions and set the stage for a successful fair with promising partnerships on the horizon.
Mr Foong Cheng Hon, the Organizing Chairman of GO Malaysia Fair expressed, “The GO Malaysia Fair celebrates the vibrant essence of Malaysia, showcasing everything from thrilling travel adventures and warm hospitality to diverse cuisine, arts, and, most importantly, the unique Malaysian culture. Aligned with the national campaign, Visit Malaysia 2026, the fair aims to support the initiative, contributing to the targeted 18 million Singaporean visitors to Malaysia strengthening Malaysia’s position as a must-visit destination in the region.”
Originally launched in 2024, the GO Malaysia Fair integrates both digital and physical elements, providing a diverse array of experiences that extend beyond traditional travel, transportation, arts and culture, with a particular focus on medical tourism.
The GO Malaysia Fair takes place from the 18th to 20th April 2025 at Marina Square, Central Atrium. The digital fair segment commenced earlier on 14 April via www.gomalaysia.sg.
