Go On Holiday and Win Prizes!

PUTRAJAYA, 1 March 2017 – With the #MyCuisine sub-theme ending on 28 February 2017, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) is currently organizing the #MyDestination sub-theme for Photo and Short Video Contest, in conjunction with the one-year #SayangMalaysia Campaign.

Only by using both #MyDestination and #SayangMalaysia in their Instagram and Facebook posts, the public will have the opportunity to win various prizes through the contest, beginning 1 March 2017 until 30 April 2017.

The photos and the short videos, with length between 30 to 60 seconds, must contain the uniqueness and the beauty of destinations visited.

The #SayangMalaysia Photo and Short Video Contest is a social media campaign organized by MOTAC to encourage domestic and foreign visitors to Malaysia to share their happy moments while on holiday in Malaysia, which would be part of the reviews for Malaysia’s tourism industry across the internet thus introducing Malaysia’s unique attractions to the world.

#MyDestination is the second sub theme for #SayangMalaysia campaign, after #MyCuisine. Other sub themes include, #MyCulture (May until June), #MySport (July until August), #MyEvent (September until October) dan #MyFamilyFun (November until December).

The winners for #MyCuisine contest will be announced via MOTAC’s Facebook and Instagram page on the second week of March 2017.

#SayangMalaysia Campaign is an initiative under the Malaysia’s National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS), a strategic cooperation between Government Departments/Agencies and the private sector, which include the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, National Service Training Department, iM4U, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), and tourism and culture industry players.
