SUBANG JAYA, 13 May 2016 – Thousands of Malaysians who are keen to visit the beautiful Island of Taiwan are expected to converge in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall this weekend for a three-day travel extravaganza organised by Taiwan Tourism Bureau Kuala Lumpur Office.
The Taiwan Travel Fair 2016 was officially launched today by James Chang Chi Ping, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia.
The Fair is held at the LG2 Orange Concourse, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall from today until 15 May 2016. More than 33 exhibitors including leading travel agencies from both Malaysia and Taiwan are featured in this Fair.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice as there will be numerous and diverse holiday packages on offer. These include sight-seeing and shopping tours, Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability or LOHAS excursions as well as cycling expeditions, amongst others. In addition, the Taiwan Travel Fair 2016 also features a wide number of customised tour packages for Muslim tourists.
James Chang Chi Ping, said, “There is a long history of friendship and business interactions between Malaysia and Taiwan. That is why the people of Taiwan loves to visit Malaysia and Taiwan has and will continue to offer numerous attractions and delights for our many Malaysian friends who come to visit us.”

At the Taiwan Travel Fair 2016, visitors can immerse themselves in a unique cultural performance by the Grammy Awards nominated, Ten Drum Art Percussion Group, and also be amazed by Taiwan’s first female modern stunt group, AC Girl.
Visitors can also take part in activities such as the Taiwan Lantern and Leisure Farms Do-It-Yourself Showcase that includes Indigo Rose Corsage, Ceramic Deer Painting and Pouch Painting while sampling some of Taiwan’s famous street food. On 14 May, visitors can participate in the Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack Eating Competition. Members of Leo Cubs can also participate in the DIY Taiwan Lantern Workshop co-hosted with Sunway Pyramid on a daily basis.
