Laughs For Screams

Bandar Sunway, 25 October 2016 – Comedy took a scarier twist as laugh-masters from all genres showed up at Sunway Lagoon for an exclusive Scare School before putting knowledge to life by scaring unsuspecting guests and fans of Sunway Lagoon’s Nights of Fright 4 (NOF4): Face Your Fears.

Switching laughter for screams, comedians Kavin Jay and Brian Tan, along with local pranksters: ABOI TV underwent a crash course in the globally renowned Scare School, designed by The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company. Right after the course, these funnymen were made into ghastly looking creatures and were left to wander across NOF4, scaring and jesting with unsuspecting visitors. Steel-hearted fans took opportunities to face their fears and take selfies with the funny men.

Speaking on the special collaboration, Sean Choo, General Manager of Sunway Lagoon said, “You will surprise to know that laughter ranks high as a major scare factor in horrors across cultures and genres – from the maniacal laughs of murder-clowns to sinister shrieks of laughter by the Pontianak. Building on that, we decided to allow these funny people a chance to connect with their fans from a totally different perspective.”

Conducting the special Scare School session, Lynton V. Harris, Chairman and Global Creative Director of The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company said, “It was a really fun experience working with these people – who are predominantly funny by nature. The real joy came later in the night seeing them take to the streets of NOF4 scaring visitors and unsuspecting fans alike.”

With live actors or ‘scare actors’ being an integral part of almost all of Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company’s attractions, Scare School plays an integral role as a professional training and induction course catered for professional actors and stunt-people to populate attractions globally, and in this case, NOF4.

This year, Asia’s Best Attraction boasts, “FRIGHTS, FEAR, and FUN” through only the best horror themes surrounding Asia, Modern Dystopia, and Hollywood among others as it manifests itself to present a ghastly den of eight haunted houses, six scare zones, and 11 after-dark amusement rides.

Nights of Fright 4 comes to life at 7:30pm to 11:30pm every Friday to Sunday from 7^th to 30^th October including 31^st October 2016. Tickets are priced at RM 58 (normal price), RM 50 (student price), with exclusive promotions such as RM 120 (one admission Sunway Lagoon pass & one NOF4 ticket) and Buy 2 for RM 80 (entry dates only on Sundays).
