Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, numbers of museums in Tokyo have been temporarily closed. However, art lovers alike should remain creative even during times like this – hence with this in mind, some museums in Tokyo are offering a fun experience through online.
To give an example, Mori Art Museum is launching a limited-time online program “Stay Home, Stay Creative: MAM @ HOME” on the website “Mori Art Museum DIGITAL”.
Visitors can enjoy various contents such as “Future and the Arts 3D Walkthrough”, “Online Sneak Preview of MAM Screen 013: Mounira Al Solh” and more.
On social media platforms, they can also enjoy a new project entitled “ARTISTS COOKBOOK BY MAM” which features a virtual compilation of special recipes, stories and photographs sent from artists all over the world. Let’s expand our world by imagination, even though we are unable to experience it together in the real world at this very moment.
Apart from Mori Art Museum, the following traditional and modern museums in Tokyo also provide virtual tours: –
Tokyo National Museum
The National Museum of Western Art
Yamatane Museum of Art
Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation
Please enjoy the excellent art in Tokyo from home. More content will be added and uploaded.
