‘You Need To Calm Down’ & Remember These Fan Chants

With this tour, Taylor will be taking us through a diverse set list spanning 10 eras (with matching outfits included!). As such, fellow Swifties have come up with a way to be more involved in the performance with special fan chants dedicated to the many hits she’ll be performing. We’ve highlighted some fan favourites to take note of that will keep you on your toes!

Keep a lookout for this one cause it can be tricky and relies on some good timing. This chant starts as during the breakdown in ‘Don’t Blame Me’, just before the singer is bathed in lights, giving her an almost a heaven-like glow, hence the chant: “Take us to church, Taylor!”

Lyrics: Every time you’re, every time you’re lovin’ me Fan Chant: Take us to church, Taylor!

In this 10-minute live version of ‘All Too Well,’ there are two fan chants to take note of, but we think the one that hits hardest would be the one where the audience asks, “How’d that make you feel,” just before Swift replies, “That made me want to die.”

Lyrics: You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine Fan Chant: How’d that make you feel?

This tour will see Taylor performing the original version of “Bad Blood”. But that hasn’t stopped her fans from adding a little something special to the mix. In this instance, it’s ad libbing Kendrick Lamar’s lines from the remixed MV as a fan chant of its own.

Lyrics: “Band-Aids don’t fix bullet holes / You say sorry just for show / If you live like that, you live with ghosts”

Fan Chant: “You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go.”

Like many of the other fan chants, this one is a short, sweet and hilariously cute prompt that sees the audience shout out, “What time is it?” to the singer, just before she starts her introduction to

“Style.”

Fan Chant: “What time is it?”

Lyrics: “Midnight / You come and pick me up, no headlights”

Finding its origins from the Bleachers’ version of ‘Anti-Hero’, where lead singer Jack Antonoff’s “Taylor, you’ll be fine,” can be heard in the background, fans have taken to using this as a fan chant during the live performance. Just remember that it happens during the second verse.

Lyrics: “Did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism / Like some kind of congressman?”

Fan Chant: “Taylor, you’ll be fine.”

Feel ‘Fearless’ Getting There

Getting by with public transport in Singapore is practically a piece of cake, and even more so when you’re thinking about options on how to get to the National Stadium.

By MRT, take the train to Stadium MRT Station (CC6) located on the Circle Line. This seems to be the go-to option for many concert-goers heading to a show at the National Stadium in the past.

If you’re feeling up for a little walk, you can also get down at Mountbatten MRT Station (CC7) or Kallang MRT Station (EW10), only about 600m walking distance to the Singapore Sports Hub.

By bus, take numbers 11, 10, 14, 16, 16M, 70, and 196 and it will take you directly to the National Stadium. Make sure to do your research too and plan out which route is best suited for you!

Alternatively (and you plan it just right!), you can book at Grab to either the North Side of National Stadium or the East Side of Singapore Indoor Stadium. But when it comes time to head home, we suggest taking the MRT as traffic tends to build up post-concert.

Keep Your ‘Eyes Open’ For The Do’s & Don’ts

Before you can start ‘shaking it off’, it’s best to establish some typical concert-going ground rules to keep in mind for a smooth experience:
