Tourism New Zealand invites Malaysian frontline travel agents to attend a destination training session in Kuala Lumpur on 29 August 2018.
The training session will see participation from a delegation of 26 tourism operators from the New Zealand industry including accommodation, regional tourism organisations, airlines and activity representatives.
Steven Dixon, Tourism New Zealand’s Regional Manager-South and South-East Asia, said: “Interest in New Zealand as a holiday destination is growing significantly in Malaysia with visitor arrivals increasing by 81 per cent in the past three years*.
“New Zealand destination training is an essential part of Tourism New Zealand’s market development strategy for Malaysia. Training equips our travel sellers with expert knowledge to help them plan and suggest suitable, fun and activity-filled New Zealand holidays for their clients,” said Mr Dixon.
Frontline travel agents currently selling New Zealand are invited to register for the event which will be held at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday 29 August 2018, from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Registration can be completed online here.
The destination training session in Kuala Lumpur is part of Tourism New Zealand’s comprehensive 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Programme. The programme features a Gold, Silver and Bronze tier structure, and provides specialists the opportunity to list their offerings on Tourism New Zealand’s main marketing channel – newzealand.com.
Additionally, it increases credibility with clients through a certification and use of the 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist logo.
