More than 8,000 customers participated in Roaming Man CSR campaign in support of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)

Kuala Lumpur, December 2018 – Roaming Man, an Overseas Pocket Wi-Fi Rental company has received warm response from the public for a recent Breast Cancer Awareness Online Campaign with the slogan of “Walk A Mile & Get Checked, which was held from 5th October till 5th November in support of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM).

According to the article “Timely diagnosis of cancer remains a problem“ published by University Malaya Medical Centre dated 3rd August 2018, “late presentation remains a major problem that has resulted in a poor overall five-year survival rate of 49% for breast cancer patients in Malaysia compared to beyond 80% in developed nations”. Roaming Man highlighted the importance of healthy diet & exercise throughout the campaign so that we can prevent ourselves from chronic diseases. Also, we pledged the public to do routine body check-ups as well.

We were lucky to invite a number of Key Opinion Leaders to join the CSR campaign, so as to increase the engagement & participation of their followers to share, repost & tag their friends via their social media pages.

“For the teenagers and young adults out there, please take care yourself as your health is your true wealth and please do body check-ups at least once a year,” said Calvin Chee, a 24 years old Colorectal Cancer Survivor during his Facebook video sharing on his recent cancer fighting experience.

With more than 8,000 participants in the CSR campaign, Roaming Man would like to thank the warm support from our existing customers, who booked our Pocket Wi-Fi Rental for their overseas trip during the CSR campaign. Every single order from the customer represents significant contribution towards the fund raising campaign and Roaming Man has successfully raised a total of MYR 15,443 donation to NCSM. The fund will be utilised as part of NCSM’s existing funding for education, care & support services towards cancer patients and the public.
