More than 150 international tourism organizations and travel media met for 22 pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments, at IMM Asia, a day-long event held in Singapore this week. The event was again held at the Raffles City Convention Center in the lead up to ITB Asia, Singapore’s largest travel trade show.

“We are thrilled to see so many top editors and exhibitors return for our third International Media Marketplace event in Singapore this year,” said Nick Wayland, CEO and Founder of TravMedia.

“Year on year we are witnessing the growth and expansion of IMM Asia due to the quality of media in attendance who are eager to engage with leading travel brands, plan a year’s worth of features and familiarisation opportunities, in one day.”

At the Singapore event, media from more than 80 titles – including national and metropolitan newspapers, glossy magazines, trade publications, and digital platforms – connected via TravMedia with representatives from hotel groups, airlines, international and regional tourism bodies representing destinations across the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.

“IMM Asia’s popularity this year attracted a strong contingency of influential media attending from new source markets such as China, India and Malaysia, in addition to our evergreen markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, which aligned with our exhibitor interests this year,” said Nicolette Mewing, Regional Director of TravMedia Asia.

“IMM’s success is based on our innovative TravMedia technology that enables PR’s and media to create a robust and engaging appointment scheduled of one-on-one meetings that is specifically personalised to suit their target markets and interests.”

The IMM Asia program was conveniently timed to again coincide with ITB Asia, as the industry converges on Singapore to network and share ideas within this top source market.

The event also incorporated networking opportunities outside of the marketplace: a sit-down luncheon sponsored by Brand USA, and cocktail reception with views of Singapore hosted at the exclusive Bar Rouge on the 71st floor of the Swissôtel The Stamford, sponsored by AccorHotels.

TravMedia’s IMM has become the leading travel industry event for making lasting connections. New York’s IMM event is scheduled for January 24, 2019, with more than 150 exhibitors and 200 journalists already anticipated. Sydney’s popular IMM will take place February 22, followed by IMM Germany on March 5, prior to ITB Berlin, IMM France March 11, the UK’s eighth annual IMM will be held in London on March 25, 2019, followed by the IMM Brazil to be held on 1 April, the day before WTM Latin America.

Today, TravMedia provides travel news feeds in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, China, U.K., USA, Canada, Europe (Germany/Switzerland/Australia), Middle East, South Africa, Brazil and France. TravMedia provides the online press room for the U.
