PUSAKA and Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia are proud to present, Under the Persian Musical Sky, a concert featuring Grammy Award-winning master of the kamancheh (Iranian spike fiddle), Kayhan Kalhor, alongside the Kiya and Ziya Tabassian of the acclaimed Constantinople Ensemble from Montreal, Canada, in their first-ever concert in Kuala Lumpur.
‘Under the Persian Musical Sky’ is the inaugural concert of PUSAKA’s Music of the Islamic World series, in collaboration with the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, in which audience is invited to immerse in the rich cultural diversity of the Islamic world and rediscover historical influences on their own culture that were brought to the Malay Archipelago by Persian traders as far back as the 9th century.
This concert is also supported by the Canadian Arts Council, the Canadian High Commission of Malaysia, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, and official hotel PNB Perdana Hotel & Suites On The Park.
