KUALA LUMPUR, 28 OCTOBER 2024 – In response to growing demand, Batik Air will offer complimentary snacks or meals, along with beverages, for all Economy Flexi fare passengers, in addition to free baggage allowances and travel flexibility.
Effective 1st November 2024, this exciting addition reflects the airline’s unwavering commitment to delivering greater value and comfort as part of its full-service offering.
Beyond the complimentary F&B, Economy Flexi passengers enjoy generous baggage allowances—20kg for Domestic flights and 30kg for International routes—making it easier for travellers to pack without the worry of extra fees.

The fare also includes unlimited free date/time changes with no change fees, giving passengers the flexibility to alter their plans with ease; only the fare difference, if applicable, is required.
Batik Air Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said the initiative aligns with the airline’s commitment to full-service quality and reflects feedback from frequent flyers, who prioritise value-added services. This highlights Batik Air’s dedication to making travel not only convenient but also enjoyable.
“We understand the importance of a pleasant in-flight experience, and we’ve listened to what our passengers want,” he said. “The addition of complimentary meals, enhanced baggage allowances, and flexible change options significantly boosts the value of the Economy Flexi fare, ensuring it meets the needs of today’s discerning traveller with a comprehensive full-service experience.”
This enhancement is available across all Batik Air routes, both Domestic and International, operated by Batik Air’s Boeing 737, while flights operated by the Airbus 330 (to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan) will continue to offer full-service benefits for both Economy and Business Class passengers.
Meanwhile, travellers who prefer to fly light can still opt for the Economy Super Saver fare, which remains unchanged with no baggage allowance. The Economy Value fare offers a 10kg baggage allowance for Domestic flights and 20kg for International routes, along with a one-time free date and time change (fare difference applicable).
