Jakarta, June 2016 – It’s time again to share joy and happiness in the holy month of Ramadan. This year, InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza takes great pleasure to announce that it will host a goodwill gathering on Thursday, 16 June 2016 in Lobby Lounge for children of the Yatim Mandiri Orphanage. This has become annual celebration for the children to break the fast at the hotel during the holy month of Ramadan.

This is the first time, InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza has a build a relationship with Yatim Mandiri Orphanage under its current Corporate Social Responsibility programme. This event will be enlivened by entertainment host by Indra Bekti followed by Esal Revano and Faris FM, new comer singers in Indonesia. Ustad Rifky will conclude the program by presenting spiritual lecturers prior the time to break the fast.

This social event is held by InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza in cooperation with Kis FM and LITE FM. Blue Bird has generously offered to transport the children to the hotel. The event is also supported by MAXX-M, Le Mariage, What’s New Jakarta, NOW Jakarta, Augustman, The Watches Magazine, Venue, Femina, Network and Gaya Travel Malaysia.

Yatim Mandiri Orphanage is a non-profit organisation concerned about the welfare of boys and girls between the ages of 7-17 years old. It provides education, skill activity and shelter in a home environment for underpriviledged children who are without parents or have been abandoned by extended family members. The orphanage relies on financial support from the community to covers its daily operational costs.
