Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is delighted to announce its latest afternoon tea event, The Grand Garden Tea Party at THIRTY8. Inspired by the lush greenery of the neighbouring iconic KLCC Park, Head Pastry Chef Low Kin Kang has collaborated with Julien Perrinet, Executive Pastry Chef, Asia Pacific, based at Park Hyatt Tokyo. Together, they have created delicate pastries that will enchant your senses with flavours and craftsmanship reminiscent of a blossoming garden.

Set against the breath-taking backdrop of THIRTY8’s panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur, The Grand Garden Tea Party offers an exceptional afternoon tea experience. Embracing sustainability and supporting local communities, the menu features locally sourced ingredients, including fresh produce from Cameron Highlands, skilfully incorporated into every creation. This garden-inspired menu is priced at MYR 128 nett per person on weekdays and MYR 158 nett per person on weekends, and is available daily from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The culinary experience promises to be a gastronomic delight, showcasing a meticulously curated menu by Chef Kang and Chef Julien that seamlessly blends flavours and textures. Guests can begin their savoury journey with Chicken Mousse and Black Truffle paired with smoked aged heirloom pumpkin, nasturtium, and beetroot shortbread. Another highlight includes Tasmanian Petuna Trout Confit, featuring a creamy, velvet-like texture paired with a medley of coconut-lime pearl, crème fraîche, pickled cucamelon, bronze fennel, and green tea sable. Locally sourced Cameron Highland white corn custard, with its chive and chargrilled onion dust, enhanced with soy sauce, offers a unique taste experience.

For seafood lovers, the Steamed Seabass Fillet, accompanied by soft tofu, ginger flower, and chilli-lemongrass sauce, is a must-try. The Crispy Chicken Kataifi Roll, garnished with Chinese parsley, garlic crumb, and homemade spicy Sichuan sauce, provides a delightful crunch and spice.
As the meal transitions to sweeter notes, guests can indulge in the specially curated Flower Pot, featuring chocolate almond soil and strawberry basil mousse. For chocolate enthusiasts, the Valrhona Chocolate Lolly, adorned with streusel and chocolate feuilletine, is a decadent treat. The Daisy, combining coconut lime cream, mango jam, and hazelnut, provides a tropical twist, while the Cassis Flower, with vanilla cream, cassis plum jam, and matcha tea financier, adds an elegant touch to the dessert offerings.

Freshly baked delights include wholemeal scones with Cornish clotted cream and various jams, as well as the citrusy Yuzu Cake with grapefruit jelly. To top off the experience, guests can savour ice creams in mango, passion, and banana flavours, served in a crispy waffle cone.
