KL RunFest 2025 to Welcome 30,000 Visitors at Malaysia’s First-Ever Running Expo
KUALA LUMPUR, 6 November 2025 – Malaysia’s vibrant running community is gearing up for a major milestone with the debut of KL RunFest 2025, the nation’s first all-in-one running expo and lifestyle event. The festival will be held from 6 to 9 November 2025 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by Unikorn Events Sdn Bhd, a leader in sports event management, KL RunFest 2025 will feature three core segments: business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C) and community engagement, making it the most comprehensive event of its kind in Malaysia’s running industry.
Over 200 brands are expected to participate, including 100 exhibitors showcasing running gear and related products from local and international markets. With an anticipated 30,000 visitors over four days, the event aims to be a key meeting point for industry players, running communities and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts across Malaysia and the region.
“KL RunFest 2025 is an inclusive platform that unites every part of the running ecosystem, from commercial brands to grassroots clubs,” said Niklas Yong, Co-Founder of KL RunFest 2025. “The industry is expanding rapidly, and we’re proud to be driving that growth.”
According to Statista.com, Malaysia’s running industry is expected to surpass RM100 million (£16.3 million) this year, reflecting its strong growth potential.
A major highlight of the festival will be the KL RunFest Together-Gether Shake Out Run, taking place on Saturday, 8 November. This community run, expected to draw 800 elite and amateur runners, covers 3.5 to 5 kilometres, starting at 6:30 a.m. from the Bukit Jalil National Stadium forecourt.
Event Highlights
KL RunFest 2025 will feature two key pavilions:
- Business Pavilion – A hub for manufacturers, distributors, and entrepreneurs to explore strategic partnerships and networking opportunities.
- Community Pavilion – A showcase of over 80 local running communities, complete with activities and 16 inspirational sharing sessions by community leaders.
Races for All
Adding to the excitement, the Mizuno KL RunFest S/Ekiden will take centre stage — a fast-paced 30-kilometre team relay featuring five-member teams completing 21 loops around the course. Teams can strategically decide how many loops each runner completes, introducing a dynamic and tactical twist to the relay format.
KL RunFest 2025 is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) as strategic partners, with Mizuno, COROS, Just Build, and Amino Vital as sponsors.
“This is more than just an expo,” Yong added. “It’s a platform to connect, inspire, and strengthen Malaysia’s running ecosystem.”
Whether you’re a casual runner, entrepreneur, or fitness enthusiast, KL RunFest 2025 promises to be the place to be this November.
