Kuala Lumpur – OYO Hotels & Homes, South Asia’s largest, China’s 2nd largest, and the world’s 6th largest and fastest-growing chain of leased and franchised hotels, homes & living spaces today released Summer Booking Index (Q1) which highlights that Kuala Lumpur followed by Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu are the top booked destinations in Malaysia. The index reveals that an OYO was booked every 10.79 seconds and app bookings were 84 times desktop bookings making apps a preferred choice of platform for booking accommodations.
The country’s urban delights were found to mainly attract couples – with Kuala Lumpur seeing 65.33% of bookings made by couples, while single guests comprised 25.62% of bookings and families made up 9.05%.

OYO Summer Booking Index also throws light on consumer behavior and trends in the international markets. Goa, Jakarta, and Kathmandu registered maximum bookings in India, Indonesia and Nepal respectively.
