The RuMa Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur Unveils ‘Chapters of Craft’: An Exclusive Partnership with Lladró
Finding the perfect way to honour the quiet, steadfast dedication of parenthood requires a setting that speaks the same language of care. This May and June, The RuMa Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur, a Michelin Key Hotel, provides exactly that. Partnering with the renowned Spanish porcelain house Lladró, the hotel presents the Chapters of Craft Afternoon Tea, a limited-time experience that brings together amazing food, gorgeous handcrafted art, and the perfect excuse to spend quality time with the family.
Step into the cosy, inviting space of The LIBRARI and you’ll immediately notice the difference. To celebrate the collaboration, the room is decorated with Lladró’s stunning handcrafted porcelain pieces. Featuring delicate floral designs and beautiful, glowing sculptures from their Flower Heritage and Utopical collections, the setup creates an elegant, relaxing backdrop that will make your parents feel instantly spoilt.
Just like the care and patience it takes to handcraft these beautiful pieces, the whole experience is designed to celebrate the dedication of parenthood.
And forget standard finger sandwiches, this afternoon tea takes you on a delicious five-part journey. The hotel’s Executive Chef Suhalmi Tasir and Chef Ann Lee of Être Patisserie have taken the Malaysian flavours we all know and love and given them a seriously impressive, modern upgrade.
The Savoury Bites

Chef Suhalmi brings local heritage to life with a clever, contemporary twist. Highlights include:
Nasi Dagang and Chicken Gulai Arancini: Imagine crispy Italian risotto balls, but packed with the comforting, rich flavours of the East Coast.
Reimagined Vol-au-Vent: A light, flaky pastry filled with a vibrant blue pea (telang) rice salad, baby shrimp, and a subtle hint of garlic flower.
The Sweet Treats

For those with a sweet tooth, Être Patisserie has created desserts that will bring back wonderful memories:
Ipoh White Coffee Tart: A rich, decadent tart featuring coffee ganache and praline, made with authentic ingredients sourced straight from Ipoh town.
Teh Tarik Mousse Cake: Your favourite local drink transformed into an airy dessert, layered with a comforting banana compote.
To make the day even more memorable, the experience also includes an interactive activity guided by Lladró. Families are invited to engage in a hands-on creative session, ensuring that the afternoon yields not just full stomachs, but lasting memories and a tangible connection to the art of craftsmanship.
