PETALING JAYA, Malaysia, 14 July 2026 — Tourism Selangor has announced the return of the Selangor Travel Fair 2026, reinforcing its commitment to promoting the state as a leading tourism destination while celebrating 25 years of tourism excellence.

The announcement was made during Tourism Selangor’s Media & Influencers Hi-Tea 2026, held to recognise the contributions of media organisations and content creators in supporting the Visit Selangor Year 2026 (VSY2026) campaign.

Tourism Selangor Chief Executive Officer Chua Yee Ling said the state’s tourism sector continued to record strong growth, welcoming 8.42 million visitors in 2025, of which 68 per cent were domestic travellers and 32 per cent international visitors. China remained Selangor’s largest inbound market, accounting for 24.1 per cent of international arrivals, followed by Singapore (13.4 per cent) and Indonesia (6.7 per cent).

She also highlighted Tourism Selangor’s recent achievement of winning the Gold Award for Best Use of Content at the Malaysia Public Relations Awards 2025, recognising the effectiveness of its destination marketing campaigns and collaborative efforts with media and digital creators.

As part of its continued tourism promotion strategy, Tourism Selangor will organise the Selangor Travel Fair 2026 on 25 and 26 July 2026 at Central Market Kuala Lumpur. Now in its third edition, the fair is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors and feature 35 exhibitors showcasing tourism products, attractions, accommodation and travel experiences from across Selangor.

The event is supported by Farm Fresh as the main sponsor and strategic partner, together with AVIS Budget Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia Central Region, PADAT, Media Selangor and Batik Air. Tourism Selangor said the fair forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships across the tourism industry while supporting both Visit Selangor Year 2026 and Visit Malaysia 2026.

The media appreciation event was held at JAM PJ, a lifestyle destination in Petaling Jaya that combines retail, dining and event spaces to support community-driven and cultural initiatives, as highlighted in the release.
